How can I share a folder with an individual without them being added as a member to our organizations Dropbox account? I want to be able to share a folder without them being added to our team as we would then have to pay for eavh folder shared.Solved765Views0likes16CommentsNot getting notifications when files are added to folder
As the title says, I'm not getting notifications when a file has been added to a shared folder that I created. I can see that something was added if I view "Sharing activity," but I'm not getting notified. In fact, when I click the bell icon to view my notifications, the last notification I have is from last month... so, if there is sharing activity from 10/17, how come there is no matching notification about a file being uploaded? I noticed this happening today, when I received an email last night about "Last week's updates in your shared folders." I'm like LAST WEEK????? How come I'm just now seeing this??? (Granted, it was just Thursday when they were added, so it hasn't been a full week, but still...) File added 10/17 (today is 10/22) and I'm just now finding out that some files were added. Hi it has been brought to my attention that when I share a file with a member staff they can click on all members before clicking into the file and they can view everyone's email addresses. I have never notice this before and my staff do not feel comfortable that everyone can see there private email addresses. Can I hide members information from others? I am being asked to upgrade my account, when my client has upgraded the storage to a significant amount. 2TB or something. There is lots of space in the dropbox. Do I have to upgrade to upload as well when the space has already been paid for? Thanks21Views0likes1CommentI'm asked to join a Team, when a client sends me an invitation to join his folder.
I am a tax preparer in Canada and am having an issue with sharing files with one of my clients. In the past I have created a folder and shared with my client an invitation to put information into a folder which I hold on my dropbox account. After their tax return is complete I put their confidential tax return and signature documents back onto the dropbox that only they and I have access. My newest client already had a dropbox account and he sent me an invite to view his information on his dropbox. When I click through to view the file, Dropbox tells me I have to join his company account. If I say yes to join, Dropbox tells me I have to change the username and password on my other already established dropbox account before I can access his. So I say no, since I have another staff member who also has access to various files. My question is - how can I get my new client's information without making a bunch of changes to my own access? Am I missing something?Solved117Views0likes6CommentsI joined a client's folder, but I'm being asked for more Dropbox space to add a file to it.
A client shared their dropbox link with me to upload files and it keeps telling me my personal account is full and to upgrade. I don't want to upgrade my account. The clients have a full account and I joined their folder to upload too. How can I get rid of this error.29Views0likes2CommentsWhy am I getting an error that my account is full after uploading files to shared folders?
This has happened with multiple clients with large amounts of storage. They share a set of folders but it doesn't see their storage amount it only sees my 2GB limit and I can't upload even though the client has plenty of room. When I sign out to see if I can access that way it asks me to sign into DB to access the link. I obviously am not the best at figuring out the issue and could use help so I can access their full storage capabilities for file transfers.62Views0likes7Comments
