The 'download' button on the web fails or is unresponsive but only for one shared folder

I just got sent a shared folder. I keep hitting the 'download folder' and it is non responsive like I haven't clicked anything at all. I try individual files and those give me a notice 'failed to download'. No reason why.

All other folders I have access to are responsive, only seems to be this folder.

I've cleared cache and cookies which did not fix the issue.

Hey Jodes, thanks for reaching out to us.

Can you let me know how you got access to this folder? Did someone invite your email address to give you edit access and make you a member of the folder?

Or did they just send you a shared link to the folder?

Do you get the same behavior with other browsers as well?

    Keep me posted.

I was given a link to the folder. I copied that folder to my dropbox in a new folder I had made just for those files. And they downloaded just fine once I transferred them to a dropbox folder of my creation. Looking forward though, I need to know why it did this so I can avoid it in the future.

Hey Jodes! Hope you don’t mind, if I jump in.

If you open the shared link via a different browser, like Hannah suggested previously, are you experiencing the same behavior?

Did you also check with the owner of the link to make sure they’ve not disabled downloads for the specific folder? What’s its total size?
